If you’re in Paris and searching for one-day travel options, the Paris Navigo card is a great alternative to think about. The Navigo card provides unrestricted access to Paris’s public transit system, including buses, metros, and trains, making it simple to explore the city and beyond. For one-day visits, these are some of the greatest spots to visit with the Paris Navigo card:
Giverny: If you enjoy art, you must visit Claude Monet’s residence and gardens at Giverny. From Gare Saint-Lazare, take the train to Vernon, then a shuttle bus to Giverny. You can stroll around the gardens that inspired some of Monet’s most renowned paintings and explore the artist’s beautiful home once you arrive.
Château de Fontainebleau: Located approximately an hour southeast of Paris, this majestic château is accessible via the RER D train. When you arrive, you may tour the palace’s extensive gardens and grounds, as well as its outstanding collection of artwork and furnishings.
Chantilly: Chantilly is a lovely village about 40 minutes by train north of Paris.

Reims: A day excursion to Reims, the capital of the Champagne region, is a must for wine connoisseurs. A train from Paris to Reims takes slightly over one hour.
While there, you may take a tour and taste at one of the city’s numerous champagne houses, view the majestic Reims Cathedral, and wander through the town’s lovely streets.
Provins: This medieval town, approximately an hour by rail southeast of Paris, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an excellent spot to visit for history enthusiasts.
Visitors can explore the walls and observe the famous Rose Garden, as well as the beautiful Saint-Quiriace Collegiate Church.
Auvers-sur-Oise: This little town, about 30 minutes by train north of Paris, it was the home of many notable painters, including Vincent van Gogh. Several of the locations that inspired van Gogh’s paintings can be visited at the Auberge Ravoux, where he resided and died.
Chartres: Located approximately an hour by train southwest of Paris, Chartres is famous for its spectacular cathedral, which is one of Europe’s best displays of Gothic architecture.
You may visit the cathedral and ascend to the top for breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Vaux-le-Vicomte: This magnificent chateau, approximately an hour by train southeast of Paris, is a masterpiece of French Baroque architecture with wonderful grounds to explore.
You can visit the luxurious interior of the castle and take a stroll around the formal gardens, which were built by André Le Nôtre, the same landscaper who designed the grounds at Versailles.
